Just across the street from A Woman’s
Work is A Woman’s Workshop, an intimate
gathering place where expectant women, mothers and their partners
meet to learn and share experiences. A Woman’s Workshop
offers courses on lots of different issues and classes are small,
allowing for individualized instruction. Babies are welcome
unless otherwise noted in the course description. View A
Woman’s Workshop calendar for schedules
and course descriptions.
Workshops are interactive work/study
sessions that provide information and practical, hands-on application
on such topics as Preparing for Childbirth, Wearing Your Baby,
Infant Massage, and our popular Back to Workshop for mothers
returning to the workplace. Pre-registration is required for
all workshops.
Classes provide focused information
on an assortment of subjects and are taught by specialists in
their fields. Current offerings include Infant CPR and First
Aid, Preventing Plagiocephaly, and Babyproofing Your Home. Pre-registration
for classes is required.
Support Groups offer participants
a forum for sharing experiences, questions and challenges in
a relaxed, nurturing environment. Postpartum Support, Breastfeeding
Support, and Mothers of Multiples Groups currently meet regularly
at A Woman’s Workshop. Pre-registration is required for
some groups; please check for details in each course’s
description (click on any underlined link above).
